The Beehive Centre

The Beehive Centre, Bristol, is a Grade II listed mission hall which was built in 1905. The centre needed its internal layout to be updated; an outside seating area to be created and one of its halls to be soundproofed.

A new bright reception foyer was designed as a relaxing space for people to meet with friends for a coffee and as a waiting area. The ceiling height was raised to allow more natural light into the room and, by opening up the entrance to the reception, more light was brought into the entrance corridor.

Stephanie Williams Designs carried out the planning application, listed building consent, building control application and interior design for this project.
